Arriba, arriba.... arriba!

it's so effing hot. so wet, sticky, effing hot. the good news is the lake is beautiful and not nearly as yucky has lake atitlan. not gnarly at all, actually.
the bad news i will not be getting in it anytime soon.

Ok this is going to be a bit of a mess... but I uploaded pictures and it{s a bitch to reorganize them , so here's what they are...

this isn{t me, but I did do it. jumping into the lake, scary but awesome

I used my first machete today
yesterday sucked. I started around 530 am and got to santa elena around 930pm to only be told it wasnt safe to travel so i needed to find a hostel. i took a cab to the safe part, wandered around to only be told the hostel i was recommended was full, the next closest only had double occupancy rooms (so double cost) and by the time i got to the third hotel i was crying (Ok, a bit dramatic) and called Mateo to tell him I had nowhere to stay, so he said fine he would send someone to get me.

after all this i find out they're only worried about my safety. ugh, if i would{ve known that i woudl've just said fuck it, send the car i want to go to bed.

oh well, i made it. its hot. i worked in the park this morning but hoping to not have to do that much. i am not super interested in planting trees in this heat. i would much rather teach.

well see what happens
